Stabat began in the fall of 2003 with a group of eight male students and community members who wanted to sing a cappella music. The group originally began singing repertoire for men’s voices, but with the addition of five members (including counter-tenors) the group expanded its capabilities immensely. The group has performed at many churches, banquets, conferences, and a few contests.

During the 2005-06 season - Stabat's final season - they have recorded two CDs including a full length CD to be released in April of 2006. Stabat will also be performing a full concert at Goshen College Sauder Concert Hall in Goshen, IN. The April 17th concert will accompany the release of their CD.
